Recognize and admit you are a sinner, as all are sinners:
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;Even all the supposedly "good" things we do, the pious acts, the religious observances, aren't sufficient:Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Rom 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Rom 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.But though the wages of sin is death, there is good news:
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.The price for all sin was paid:

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.So ask!Joh 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
"Lord Jesus, be merciful to me, a sinner. I believe you are the Christ, the Son of God, and that you died for my sins and rose again the third day. I ask you to save me. I invite you into my heart and receive you as Saviour and Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen!"If you prayed this prayer and meant it, congratulations! For, "every one that asketh receiveth". You are born again and are now in the family of God!
